Included in this packet are printable copies of commonly used automatic sequences, hymn & traditional song lyrics I often utilize during sessions for aphasia and apraxia therapy, such as:
- Days of the Week
- Months of the Year
- Numerical Sequences
- Happy Birthday
- Amazing Grace
- Down By the River to Pray
Couldn’t they just be sketched out during the session on scratch paper? Sure! But I like having copies ready at my fingertips during sessions. Occasionally family members also ask for readily-made materials to practice in the hospital room on weekends or in the evening. Download a sheet or two of a familiar hymn to pass along to them. Or use these sheets as a visual aid during your treatment sessions.
If you are looking for more, I highly recommend the Tactus Therapy app Apraxia Therapy, for home and in-therapy practice. This app is fully customizable and includes functional phrases and visual modeling for sequences, phrases and long words organized in a hierarchical fashion.
Included below are also links to the YouTube versions of each song with lyrics. Use this list to avoid wasting time sifting through the hundreds of YouTube options online when you are in a time crunch.
Below are also some YouTube links to videos with the accompanying lyrics.
Pledge of Allegiance
Home, Home on the Range
(America) My Country Tis’ of Thee
Star Spangled Banner
This Land Is Your Land
For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow
Oh My Darlin’ Clementine
Swing Low, Sweet Chariot
He’s got the whole world in his hands
Down to the River to Pray
How Great Thou Art
Come Now Fount of Every Blessing
